Privacy Policy
Alphaware (alphaware.xyz) publishes research and educational writing on markets, quantitative methods, and data systems. This page explains what information is processed when you use the site, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.

Information we process
You can read the site without creating an account. We process:
- Request logs kept by the host and CDN: IP address, browser and device type, time, referrer
- Aggregated usage such as page views (Google Analytics 4)
- Messages you send through public channels (corrections, collaboration)
- Newsletter email and locale if you subscribe. Stored in Cloudflare D1 and used only to send briefs and process unsubscribes
- Frontend error reports (Sentry), which may include a URL and browser details
- A hash used only to stop duplicate post reactions. IP and a browser id are SHA-256 hashed; raw IP is not stored
We do not run logins, take payments, or track precise location. A comment widget (Giscus) exists in the codebase but is disabled. If comments are turned on, this policy and GitHub’s terms will be updated together.
Why we process it
- To deliver, secure, and debug the site
- To see which pieces are actually read, and which briefs readers mark useful
- To answer corrections and other requests
- To send new briefs to subscribers and honor unsubscribe requests
- To diagnose client-side errors
- To meet Google publisher-program disclosure rules for advertising technology
Cookies and identifiers
Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies may be stored on or read from your browser. You can block or delete cookies in the browser. Doing so may reduce theme persistence and the accuracy of analytics.
Google Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM-5NX93PWH) and Google Analytics 4 (G-8CHQ176DHS). Google may use cookies or device identifiers for this. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Google advertising (AdSense)
The site is connected to Google AdSense publisher ID ca-pub-9176056940514183. That publisher is listed as an authorized seller in ads.txt.
Article bodies do not currently render ad slots (ins.adsbygoogle). If ads are enabled after approval, Google and its advertising partners may store or read cookies on your browser, use web beacons, and collect device information such as IP addresses. That information can be used for interest-based ads, invalid-click protection, and reporting.

You can limit interest-based ads in Google Ads Settings and in your browser. In applicable regions, Google’s EU User Consent Policy also applies.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request logs and cookies for security and performance under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Retention and sharing
Analytics retention follows the Google account setting. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to reply or handle a dispute. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the processors named here, or when the law or site security requires it.
Your choices
To ask for access, correction, or deletion, use the contact page. Newsletter subscribers can also use the unsubscribe link. Clearing cookies on this device removes most stored identifiers we can influence.
Changes
If collection or advertising status changes, we update the date on this page. The advertising section will be reviewed again before any ad slot is added.
